Nursery girl beaten up by tutor for wrong spellings

INDORE: A five-year-old girl studying in nursery class was allegedly beaten black and blue and abused by her coaching teacher for allegedly not writing correct spellings at the time of coaching.
The victim’s grandparents immediately reached at the Malharganj police station to lodge a complaint against the coaching teacher. “When our granddaughter Anamata, reached home from her coaching class we saw her left eye swollen and black and blue.She did not tell us at first, but when we asked her again she told that ‘Narang madam’ beat her up for writing incorrect spelling,” said Firoz Khan, girl’s grandfather. He added that the police was not ready to lodge FIR against the teacher, therefore they contacted Childline.
Centre coordinator, Childline, Santosh Kumar Patel said, “The grandparents of the victim reached us and claimed that the girl was beaten up badly over spelling a word wrong. When queried other parents, they also claimed that the teacher has a habit of beating children if committed any mistake during her coaching time.”
It was found that the teacher resides at north Rajmohalla, told Kumar. “After counselling and scrutinizing the case, medical of the girl child was done at the Malhar Ganj police station and later lodged a complaint against the teacher,” told Kumar. He added that now the childline team would reach at the teacher’s residence and scrutinize the case further.
In police complaint the grandparents alleged that accused teacher known as Narang madam slapped her hard on Thursday for not studying prorpely. Following to victim’s parent complaint the police registered an offence under section 323 (punishment for voluntary causing hurt) and 504 of IPC and said that further probe is on.
